Local Resources

Here in the Hampton Roads region, we do have access to several local resources regarding the grief related to pet loss. If you cannot find local resources that work for you, please consider our online resources as well. Remember, you are not alone.

Hampton Roads Pet Loss Support Group:

We understand how heartbreaking the loss of your faithful companion can be and we would like to offer our support during this sad time. As a part of our commitment to the human-animal bond, we have formed the first pet loss support group for those in the Hampton Roads area who have suffered the loss of a pet. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month from 6-7:30pm and alternate between the Main Library in Hampton, VA and the Central Library in Virginia Beach, VA. Details regarding the group’s facilitators and schedule will be posted on our website (click link above) and the support group’s Facebook page each month. Erin Freeman, MSEd will be facilitating these meetings along with Tyler Carmack, DVM. Please contact us if we can assist you at any time.
